Something sweet usually appears at the end of a meal, but not always. Sometimes it sits next to a specialty coffee in the middle of the morning, arrives after lunch when the table slows down, or becomes the small thing you take with you on the way home from a coffee shop.

That is the space where our new Honest Bites collection begins.

Sweet, built differently

Desserts often rely on the same formula: refined sugar, butter, and a quick spike of sweetness that fades just as quickly. We wanted something that felt lighter, more balanced, and easier to enjoy at different moments of the day.

At Honest Greens, the recipes start somewhere else. Natural sweeteners like dates, coconut sugar and agave replace refined sugar, while olive oil stands in where butter usually appears. Many of the recipes are plant based, and many are naturally gluten free.

The idea is simple. Sweetness that feels rounded rather than heavy, with ingredients that carry flavour naturally instead of relying on excess sugar. In many ways, they sit closer to what people now look for in healthy desserts, whether at the end of a meal or simply alongside a coffee.

New sweets on the counter

A few new recipes arrive first:

  • Raspberry & Pistachio Cookie: Raspberry and pistachio cookie with olive oil, coconut sugar, gluten-free flour blend.

  • Yellow Carrot Chai Cake: Yellow carrot cake with chai spices, walnuts, vanilla glaze, pumpkin seeds, cacao nibs, olive oil, gluten-free flour blend.

  • Marbled Chocolate & Tahini Cake: Marbled tahini and chocolate cake with coffee glaze, freeze-dried raspberries, olive oil, gluten-free flour blend.

  • Shoyu Pecan Pie: Pie with caramelised pecan nuts and shoyu caramel, on a crunchy buckwheat flour crust.

  • Miso Koji Apple Pie: Caramelised apple and miso pie with hazelnuts and a crunchy buckwheat flour crust.

  • Chocolate Avo Mousse with Olive Oil & Salt: Chocolate avocado mousse with extra virgin olive oil and crunchy rice crumble.

Small bites, different moments

Alongside the cakes and pies, a few small, new recipes join the counter:

  • Chocolate Chip Cookie: Chocolate cookie with olive oil, coconut sugar, gluten-free flour blend.

And three protein bites with a new recipe:

  • Orange Protein Power: Protein ball with apricot, almond, date, carrot, coconut, orange, vanilla, turmeric and plant-based protein.

  • Matcha Protein Power: Protein ball with matcha, date, pistachio, almond, chia, vanilla, apple and plant-based protein.

  • Cocoa Protein Power: Protein ball with cacao, hazelnut and date, sweet potato, sesame, agave, coconut sugar and plant-based protein.

Each one is built around nuts, dates and plant based protein. They fit easily between moments, with a specialty coffee, after lunch, or mid afternoon when something sweet feels right but not too much.

Sweetness with a Mediterranean mindset

Across the menu, the logic remains the same. Ingredients bring flavour on their own, olive oil does what it does best, and sweetness comes from natural sources that feel more balanced on the palate.

The result is not a classic dessert menu, and it was never meant to be. Just a collection of sweet things that sit comfortably alongside the rest of the menu at Honest Greens, following the same Mediterranean instinct that guides everything else: real ingredients, thoughtful combinations, and something sweet when the moment calls for it.
