We have wanted to come to Alicante for a while and, on 17 September, we finally did. We opened Honest Greens Portal de Elche, our first restaurant in Alicante, right in Plaza Portal de Elche, between La Rambla and La Explanada and just a few minutes from Luceros TRAM station.
Alicante and our cooking share a very Mediterranean way of looking at life: around a table and without too much of a rush. Now we have a new place to share it.
Portal de Elche has long been a place to pass through and come together. A historic square in the heart of the city, shaded by century old ficus trees and close to the port, the beach and the streets of the old town. Since 17 September, it has also been our new home.
Honest Greens Portal de Elche spans 467 m² across two floors, with space for 179 people. A generous restaurant, open throughout the day and designed to become part of the city.
Our Mediterranean cooking has arrived in Alicante just as you know it: recipes prepared from scratch every day, seasonal ingredients and olive oil from beginning to end. No ultra processed food, preservatives or artificial additives. Just Real Food, made properly.
The new space also serves a healthy breakfast alongside our organic, sustainably sourced specialty coffee.
